I Love Surprises..... and Cookbooks!

Isn't it the best feeling to be surprised by thoughtfulness and generosity?  Yesterday I went to the mailbox and found a surprise waiting for me. A close family friend, Marie, sent me an awesome cookbook with an incredibly sweet note!  I LOVE cookbooks..and this one is no exception... Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen by Trisha Yearwood.  I can read cookbooks like novels and this one reads great!!  My first endeavor will either be the Baked Potato Soup on p.50 or the Black Bean Lasagna on p.110.  Our rumbling tummies thank you Marie!

As a side note, I would like to add that Marie is an incredibly gifted knitter.. this is a beautiful blankie she knit for Brady when he was born.. what a keepsake!
